UltraPure™ Water Purifiers utilize a three-stage carbon block/ion-exchange micro filter and ultraviolet light to clean and purify tap water. Certified by the Pasteur Institute of Paris for bacterial reduction, UltraPure exceeds National Safety Foundation standards for removal of chlorine and heavy metals.

Here's how it works:

1. Water is adsorbed into the outer layers of a 0.5 sub-micron carbon block filter, removing microscopic particles of dirt, chlorine, bacteria and cysts like cryptosporidium and giardia.
2. Water flows through a ceramic ion-exchange matrix that eliminates heavy metals like lead and other toxic chemicals. Taste and color are greatly improved in this stage.
3. Filtered water then enters the stainless steel purification chamber and is exposed to high intensity ultraviolet light that destroys bacteria, viruses and further reduces toxic chemicals.

Additionally, UltraPure™ offers an upgradeable four-stage Fluoride Filter for both Counter Top and Under Sink models. The UltraPure™ Fluoride Filter, with 50% activated alumina and ultraviolet light, removes fluoride from tap water to less than 1ppm.
